Why Do We Require Prepayment from Some Merchants?

There are merchant categories that are considered Ultra-High-Risk in the merchant processing space. If we ask your company to prepay for services, it is because we are worried (based on experience within your industry) that we may not receive payment or that you may be a risk of chargeback. We know in some ultra-high-risk industries there are great business owners with integrity who would never do such a thing as a chargeback. However, since we do not have a long-standing relationship with you, we may not yet be comfortable accepting payment any other way.

If you were on ACH or Credit Card billing previously and we switched you to Prepaid, it is because there were too many returned items or you charged back a previous fee.
